Hey, it's funny, "Three days she wandered ..." and it took me three days to read this second volume. We find happiness with the characters and the universe invented by the great and brilliant imagination Pauline Alphen.
It took me a few pages to remember what was the situation of the characters at the end of the first volume, but everything came back very quickly, Jad, Claris, Blaise, Maya and others ...
We also discover new characters, some are very puzzling and strange, we also learn more about certain characters that had been that addressing rather quickly in the first volume.
For cons, I must say that in this volume Ugh, quite annoyed me, never satisfied, always trying to rattle, and unable to enjoy what's around him. It certainly volunteer to form a contrast with Jad, but I found it painful. Volume
This happens immediately after the events occurred in the first, and the author shows us the evolution of things and characters from what happened, different ways of coping, understanding all the main characters that there is some something that goes beyond appearances.
This volume may be slower than the first one who was yet in place, but because we are interested here in changes caused by the facts of the precedent. Interest may be a bit more psychological side of things. So the action seems slower, but if it is slower, this does not mean it is less important, however, we learn full of important things, especially with Jad and Ugh, or Blaise.
Finally, Pauline Alphen again gives us a wonderful book that makes you dream and think, and once the last page is turned, there was a desire to attack immediately the third volume ... Except it is not out yet, so it will have to wait a little longer before they can view the next adventures of Jad, Claris, Ugh, Blaise and others ...
